Guard
The Chippewa Valley Guard is a critical piece of the success that Chippewa Valley Music Program has demonstrated over the past several years. The Marching Band Guard performs as a key unit of the marching band adding visual flare & excitement to the overall show performance, while the Winter Guard demonstrates their talent and skill performing amazing shows in indoor competitions.
The Marching Band guard unit practices with the marching band and may have occasional sectionals before or after school. The Winter Guard contains two stand-alone units each containing team members selected according to the skill level demonstrated by the individual performers during the required auditions. The Winter Guard also has required practices sessions either before or after school.

Winter Guard had their first rehearsal on Tuesday Nov. 10th at the 9th grade center. Schedules for November & December were provided at that meeting. If you missed the meeting and are interested in joining or learning more about Winter Guard, contact Sharon MacLean or John Dodson.
For all practices (unless told otherwise) wear clothes comfortable to work in. You will be notifed if there's a parents meetings at the rehearsal, however, parents are always welcome to attend.

Third Annual MCGC Winter Guard Invitational at CVHS!
WE DID IT!
We hosted our 3rd annual MCGC combined Winter Guard & Drumline competition on Sunday, Feb 7th 2010. We had 10 units compete and had terrrific performances by everyone resulting in a truely spectacular show.
If you've never seen a WG or Percussion show we can say that it's thrilling to watch and we encourage everyone to locate the next show and check it out! All our CVHS unit performances are on our calendar so click the link below to see when & where they are.

To everyone who participated in the smallest and largest way this past weekend, we would like to send a special thank-you to all of our volunteers - students. Parents, alumni, alumni parents, coaches,and administration. The Invitational was a huge success and we owe it to everyone who helped. This Invitational showed how devoted we are to our kids and our BAND program! We look forward to hosting our 4th annual MCGC Winter Guard and Drumline Invitational next year.
Special thanks to the Booster Board, Joe Mulawa and Frank Jankowski, and Tracey Moro for the countless hours of work and guidance provided.
We would like to congratulate the Prizm and Scholastic A teams and our Drumline for their fantastic programs and wish them SUCCESS in the remainder of their season! If you get a chance, please go to their other competitions to support our KIDs.
